ShelterBox Chief Executive says that ‘Black lives matter. All should be treated equally and humanely.’

“As a global disaster relief organisation rooted in the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, and impartiality, we believe black lives matter and all should be treated equally and humanely.

“At ShelterBox, we are committed to working with partners in an environment that promotes mutual understanding, cooperation, friendship, and peace. The events of the last week have only strengthened this priority for ShelterBox and our resolve to distribute assistance impartially to reach those most in need.

“Our mission is rooted in supporting the rights of refugees and displaced people around the world. This commitment carries to standing in solidarity with oppressed people in our own country, who are living with their own forms of violence, oppression and displacement. ShelterBox vows to work to tackle racism,  injustice and discrimination –  including in our own workplace – by listening to those we serve and work with. Equal treatment is the abiding principle we stand by.”
