About the nobel peace prize
The Nobel Peace Prize and the other Nobel Prizes were established by Swedish inventor and businessman, Alfred Nobel through his last will in 1895.
Every year, one person or organisation is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for “the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”
Previous Nobel Peace Prize Laureates include Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Malala Yousafzai, Mother Teresa and Elie Wiesel.
